Anke Braun was just awarded her PhD with distinction. She successfully defended her thesis on the computational and neural bases of history biases in perceptual decisions. She gave a wonderful overview over the background of her work and the empirical studies making up her thesis. This was followed by an in-depth discussion with the three committee members, two of whom were present in person and the third connected via Zoom. It was our lab’s first PhD defense under Covid-19 regulations, unfortunately without a public audience. However, the rest of the lab joined via Zoom and we had a wonderful (and socially-distant) get-together afterwards – the first since the start of the pandemic, a much needed event!

Congrats, Anke! We are looking forward to continuing to work with you in the coming years!
